From the creators of smash hit plays such as The Buddy Holly Show, Remembering Janis, TheJohnny Cash Tribute Show, and Songs & Sonnets By Jim Morrison comes their most exciting theatrical musical play yet, “Edge Of Reality”.
Through a kaleidoscope woven of nothing more than well-chosen words and music, this one-act play that is designed as an ELVIS Tribute Show focuses on a lonely boy from Tupelo, Mississippi, who rose from lowliness to wow the world with his boyish charm, talent, and faithful spirit, becoming not only the KING of Memphis, Tennessee, but the KING of what would come to be known as Rock n’ Roll, and the world.
While the King is viewed as sitting atop the highest mountain, he himself, like anyone else, had hopes, worries, fears, and most definitely sadness. Through his highs and lows, he was always on the Edge of Reality, continuously searching for his “purpose” in life, thinking that his life, career, and success were all but a dream and always waiting to wake up.
With the birth of Rock N’ Roll as the backdrop for a phenomenon of the senses guiding us through a musical miracle that took the world by storm, ”Edge of Reality” takes us on not only an electrifying and emotional trip through the early life and career of the KING, but his universal struggle of self as the Dark shadows of life followed him throughout it all that left him walking on a thin line for all of his life.
Embodying the American Dream, a poor boy who by the grace of God went from rags to riches and became the most famous and beloved man in the world, this story follows the journey in a very unique way. No matter what people may think of him, be it the KING or a sting, he was just a man who had hopes, a dreamer of being the hero in the comic book and the movie, always caught between the brink of misery where life’s dream lie disillusioned, and the Kingdom of Heaven beckoning with strange voices echoing, always keeping him on the “Edge of Reality”.
